When I say “let’s meet for coffee” I mean it. I hear from many in our community who want to be more engaged in our political processes but don’t know where to start. With all of the responsibilities we each have in our day-to-day lives, this is understandable. As a North Cowichan Councillor, my goal will be to work with Council and staff to improve community participation that expands beyond online forums.
As a person working in our community, my relationships with others is most important. Building on relationships already established and creating new ones to develop partnerships with the Municipality will definitely be a priority, especially with First Nations, other municipalities, the CVRD and provincial and federal levels of government.
